Here’s a random semi-work related project. I’m known as quite the jack of all trades around the office and when our Hardware/Electrical Engineering team needed help installing some press fit board connectors, I offered to take a look at it. Now I don’t have a EDM to cut a clone of the $1400 factory tool, but I do have a worn out old 1962 Bridgeport and some aluminum bar stock. Here’s my attempt at making a install tool. Spoiler: It worked! The block allows a small arbor press to evenly distribute the load across the pins.
