A good hammer.

Some times, you just need a good hammer to get the job done.  Back in fall of 2013 I ordered a new set of dead blow hammers from Trusty Cook- the OEM for companies like Snap On, Matco, Estwing, ect. They are made in the USA and should last me for years. I choose the Wood Working/Metal Working 6 piece kit- featuring three soft faced dead blows, two slim soft faced dead blows, and a 36oz ball peen. Dead blow hammers are unique in that they help absorb the impact and prevent bounce back. Here’s a good demonstration:

So far they feel great and I look forward to some percussive maintenance testing. :)
